R Crumb Blues
Crumb (Special Edition) David Lynch ("Blue Velvet") presents one of the most critically acclaimed films ever made. A hilarious and mysterious journey through artistic genius and sexual obsession, "Crumb" is a wild ride through the mind of Robert Crumb; creator of "Zap Comix," "Mr. Natural" and "Fritz The Cat." "Crumb" enters a territory as spooky as it is fascinating...a portrait of the artist as misanthrope, as bad-boy visionary, as a joker and sex maniac and, finally, as hero. One of those rare film experiences that has the giddy effect of being a nightmare and a party at the same time. Roger Ebert & Terry Zwigoff audio commentary; "New Yorker" cartoon by R. Crumb and Aline Crumb; Siskel and Ebert reviews of "Crumb" from the original theatrical release; An Evening with R.

West Coast blues - The West Coast blues is a type of blues music characterized by jazz and jump blues influences, strong piano-dominated sounds and jazzy guitar solos (which originated from Texas blues players relocated to California). Louisiana blues - The Louisiana blues is a type of blues music that is characterized by plodding rhythms that make the sound dark and tense. As a result of this sound, a subgenre appeared called swamp blues (based largely out of Baton Rouge), which emphasizes the dark sound and laidback rhythms of the standard Louisiana blues. The Blues Project - One of the first album-oriented, "underground" groups in the United States, the Blues Project offered an electric brew of rock, blues, folk, pop, and even some jazz, classical, and psychedelia during their brief heyday in the mid-'60s. It's not quite accurate to categorize them as a blues-rock group, although they did plenty of that kind of material; they were more like a Jewish-American equivalent to British bands like the Yardbirds, who used a blues and R& ... Swamp blues - The swamp blues is a form of blues music that is highly evolved and specialized. It arose from the Louisiana blues and is known for its laidback rhythms which dominate a music that is simultaneously funky and often lighthearted — for a blues sub-genre.
